My qualifications and experience in Nursing (B.Soc Science Nursing-Natal University; diplomas in paediatrics, midwifery, nursing education, community health; Higher diploma in Adult Education-Wits; and M.Sc Nursing-Wits) and 15 years in the field of managing chronic disease, were the grounds for two further Masters degrees in the field of psychology (research and counselling psychologist).

Consequently, in the field of psychology, I work holistically with individuals, couples, families, groups. Special interests include pre-and post-natal and fertility problems; chronic diseases and pain, and neuro rehabilitation (traumatic brain injury, strokes, spinal injuries).

I am primarily based in Ballito (Alberlito Netcare Hospital) but do operate in the Umhlanga area (Umhlanga Netcare Hospital) as well in a multidisciplinary practice. I accept referrals to the local hospitals to counsel patients and their families and assist in interfacing with other medical personnel. Training, team building and de-briefing of medical personnel are offered.

I have been involved for many years in a rural community in Wangu, northern KZN, affiliated to an NGO on an on-going basis.
